ACTIVE - Fitness Events App Reviews

Nice resource when it pulls up an entire article. I will pull it up and I will sometimes get the full article and sometimes it wont let me scroll down after the first few sentences. It has the potential for 5 stars, but for now 2.

The app is very helpful in allowing anyone to be active and to participate in events that suit their interests. I hope future versions will be better integrated with the website and that search functionality will group events more efficiently

They charged me automatically without notice or authorization!!!! I want my money back!!!

This app is a cool idea, it allows you to see a list of all running/cycling events in your area or any area you may be visiting. It will add any event you participate in to your calendar and tells you everything you may need to know about the event. The problem Ive found with the app is it doesnt really list your results for events you participate in even though it offers to on any event. When clicked it just takes you to a random search screen instead of the race results, so itd be nice to be able to click on results and just see results. Also when you forget what you purchased you can click on receipt and it shows you what you paid, but NOT what you purchased (shirt/medal/swag). Its a cool idea from a friendly company that Im sure will make this app even better!

I was so excited about finding an app like this but have been very disappointing after attempting to use it a few times. I live in the San Francisco Bay Area and was looking for a half marathon to run sometime between Oct-Nov. When you use this app you have the option to search for the type of race your looking for. After selecting the "half marathon" option the first thing I noticed were that MOST of the races nearby werent even listed. That was my first major complaint. But what was worse is that the "filter" setting is completely useless. I selected two settings... 1) Distance from my location (I selected 100 miles); and 2) Date of race (I chose Oct-Dec). After a couple minutes of attempting to load the app came back with an error: "Server Currently Unavailable". I have tried to use this filter a couple times over the past couple weeks and I either get this error or the app tells me that there are no races available in my settings. There are around 100 races in SF and the Bay Area this year so its insane that by choosing a certain distance or date doesnt work when I know of several races already in that window of time nearby. So after two weeks I will be deleting this app today. If anyone else is looking for a great place to see all available half races nearby you should check out halfmarathons.net. After finding out this app didnt work I found some awesome websites but the only one that seemed to list all (or most of) that halfs nearby was this one. Still not sure which race Ill sign up for but its nice to be able to compare all my options.

I just noticed a charge to my credit card for $69.95. This was a surprise to me! This app is certainly not worth that amount of money. I recommend you do not enter your credit card number or you will be charged this fee.

I was looking for a way to find 5Ks close to me that I could do and this lists them! Easy to use and easy to narrow search.

6 months later.... articles STILL wont load and therefore I cant read them. Please fix soon--- is really becoming annoying that app is half useless.

Filter for events needs to be better. For example, I only want to search for races but I get "events" which means I see hundreds of training camps, activities and even (not joking here) team "brunch"! Just show me races!!!!!

I like the app but it misses several events and no mud runs on here.

This app is garbage the filters to locate things in a certain region do not work! Looking for 5 and 10ks and it brings up everything all over the country!!

Too often this app fails to list most of the races scheduled. Disappointing.
